Join the German Immersion Foundation for our Annual Auction fundraiser on Saturday March 29, 2014, 6:00 p.m. at the Italian Community Center. Be sure to dust off your lederhosen and dirndls because this year’s theme will celebrate Oktoberfest in March! The evening will be filled with a delicious dinner buffet, desserts, cocktails, raffles and amazing auction items. Ticket prices are $45 per person or you can reserve a table near the stage for 10 people and 10 raffle tickets for $500.

Supporting five intern positions for one school year requires up to 20 families. But as families graduate out of the MGIS and MSL programs we need to find new families able to host an intern for 9 weeks or one semester. Families who have hosted in the past have found the experience very rewarding, benefited from learning more about the German culture, and having a native speaker able to regularly interact with their children to increase their language skills.
If you don't have the ability to host, or are not able to meet the program's requirements, you can recommend the opportunity to a family member or family of a classmate. An Amity Host Family FAQ is available by clicking here.

The German Immersion Foundation believes in the value and
benefits of a bilingual education. To this goal, the Foundation was
created to enhance and support the programs of the Milwaukee German
Immersion School and the Milwaukee School of Languages - both part of
the Milwaukee Public Schools.
The German Immersion Foundation provides the extra support necessary to maintain and build excellence in the teaching and educational programs that have won national and international acclaim for our schools and our children.
